The
Moléas’ family is present in the dried fruit sector from
generations.
At
first in the Black Sea in Turkey, where the Mr. Cleon Moléas’
forefathers – of Greek origins – had hazelnut orchards in
Giresun and Ordù. The
Moléas/Palassof settled in Italy in 1926, becoming part of the Gruppo
Omero Pisani & Rickertsen of Hamburg – main importer of
dried fruit in Europe.Cleon
Moléas works from years in the dried fruit sector as a broker,
as a technical and market consultant: sometimes his experience
in this field leads him to import directly goods. Specialized in
the almond trade, he deals with hazelnuts, sultanas, pistachio
nuts, apricot kernels and walnuts too, extending also in the
market of the biological nuts.
His
foreign origins enables him to have good commercial
relationships abroad and, in fact, the German, Greek, Turkish
and Californian suppliers are his main clients-sellers:
sometimes the work brings him to buy some products’ stocks
abroad and then to sell them in Europe and vice versa. Cleon
Moléas’ experience in the sector of dried fruit
commercialization begins at once after his studies, working by
important German and French importers: after entering in the
family company, he becomes – for a period – the president of
the “dried fruit” section by ANEIOA/Rome – the main
Italian exporters’ agency – and thanks to his ability in
this sector he takes part to international meetings as a sector
expert.
In
1970 the Californian almonds become the prominent activity also
thanks to the relation with Californian BLUE DIAMOND. At
present, the agency’s activity is the base of the
relationships; also the advice on nuts has growing towards both
the Italian and the European industries. Several
confectionaries use the “know how” of the agency to create
new articles or to substitute them with new origins.
Frequently buyers ask for advices on different products of the
sector, in which the agency’s capacity on the markets of
Italian, Greek and Turkish origins.
Daily
there are specialist market surveys even
in other alimentary sectors. |
